SAN MATEO, CALIF. – Sensiba San Filippo LLP (SSF), a Bay Area leader in audit, tax and business process consulting, today announced that Steve San Filippo, founding partner of the firm, has been appointed by the city council of San Carlos to the San Carlos Planning Commission.

Mr. San Filippo and his family have been residents of San Carlos for nearly twenty years. “We’ve really enjoyed living and working in this part of the Bay Area, and have watched it blossom over the past couple of decades.”

Mr. San Filippo’s appointment fills a vacant position that expires in 2009, at which time he may be reappointed for a full three-year term. “I’m looking forward to providing input as a long-time resident of this area”, he said. “I’m interested in the continued successful economic development of the city, balanced against zoning regulations and our City’s General Plan.”

“Real estate development happens to be of particular interest to me,” he continued. “But I believe it’s important for everyone to contribute back to their communities in whatever way most interests them. Some people volunteer, some people serve by taking public office, others work with the schools – there are hundreds of ways to participate and make a difference.”

Mr. San Filippo has also served as a long-time volunteer, committee and Board member with the Sequoia Hospital Foundation and remains active with their fundraising and operational efforts. “All of these activities help keep me balanced and focused on what’s important to me – family, community and work, in that order.”
