SSF reaffirms commitment to development of Peninsula business community – Kevin Strain joins local Chamber Board

SAN MATEO, CALIF. February 11, 2011 – Sensiba San Filippo LLP (SSF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Strain, CPA and SSF Audit Partner, to the Board of Directors of the San Mateo Area Chamber of Commerce.

While his client service takes him all over the Bay Area, Mr. Strain has lived in the San Mateo area for more than 30 years: “I grew up here and have enjoyed seeing this part of the Peninsula develop and provide the amenities that support a thriving business community while maintaining its charm and accessibility for residents,” he said. “Sensiba San Filippo and I are committed to the continuing and accelerated economic vitality of San Mateo County, and I look forward to serving on the Chamber’s Board of Directors to help promote this area as a viable and attractive place to locate a business.”

San Mateo County is also home to one of Sensiba San Filippo’s founding partners, Steve San Filippo: “The San Mateo Area Chamber of Commerce is a terrific resource for keeping local businesses connected to the community,” said Mr. San Filippo.  “The firm is proud to be a long-time supporter of the area, and Kevin’s involvement with the San Mateo Chamber Board is yet another way for SSF to have direct impact on this unique region.”  Like Mr. Strain, Mr. San Filippo is based in Sensiba San Filippo’s San Mateo office and is a member of the City of San Carlos Planning Commission as well as Board Chairman of the Sequoia Hospital Foundation.

Mr. Strain provides audit, attestation and accounting services to venture-backed technology companies and the venture capital and private equity firms that fund them; he is also active in the firm’s employee benefit plan audit practice.
